Note the quotes as this is Nurse K’s preferrred spelling for patients afflicted with either psych disease or a very poor grasp of reality.
Last night I just kept seeing them. Crayzee chronic back pain wants something “stronger than OxyContin”, crayzee anxious chest pain who says that “Ativan makes me jittery”, crayzee chronic abdominal pain in a schizophrenic, crayzee ETOH-eur who is now cutting himself, crayzee anxious lady yelling and screaming with epistaxis, crayzee anxious parents with a kid with a viral syndrome, crayzee young woman with bipolar disorder who called EMS for a tiny rash.
Then finally I had a patient in Rapid Afib! Hurrah! Finally a condition I can actually DO something about!!!!
Haloperidol might do something about the other patients/parents. Back pain, anxious chest pain, schizo/abdomen pain, drunk Ginsu demonstrator, hysterical bloody nose, crazee sniffle/fever parents, bipolar rash. Marvel Mystery Haldol will cure them all – or at least calm them down. ;-)
Crayzee isn’t for actual psych patients, just people with no grasp of reality, unrealistic expectations, etc, etc, etc
Your blog keeps redirecting me to an ad/spam website telling me I won ugg boots.
can you send mr more info or good likns to AFIB and ACHF
I guess there is crazyee and crazy. I saw lots of both last night. The only one I think I did anything for was the laday with epistaxis.
You spelled CRAYZEE wrong like a dozen times there. This is a crayzee. Crayzees *can* have psych problems, but they’re usually not there with a specific psych complaint. Crayzees go off the deep end about inconsequential things, have entitlement issues, keep notebooks full of every BM and menstrual period, have > 7 allergies (including at least 1 random thing like ‘fried foods’), and have at least IBS/fibromyalgia/chronic migraines/RSD or something like that. They think their non-emergency is somehow special or that they need to speak with a specialist in the ER about their single hive. Maybe they’re on disability for something subjective like fibromyalgia. Personality disorders are frequently found.
A crazy is just anyone with a legit psych complaint, usually acute mania or psychosis.
OK – duly noted. Spellings have been “corrected”. Tomorrow I have a post about a REAL crayzee!
so does nutjob just describe my deranged self medicating coworkers?
