Is there Enough Time in a Day?

How much can you smoke a day? 2 or 3 packs?
Nah. Kid’s stuff

How ’bout SIX packs a day. Between 2 and 4 thousand bucks a year giving yourself cancer and COPD.

  1. I couldn’t resist doing the math: Assuming a person is awake for 16 hours in a day, smoking 6 packs of cigarettes means the person is lighting one, on average, every 8 minutes. Now that’s dedication!

I’ve learned never to underestimate a person’s ability to wreck himself. Some folks are awfully dedicated to that pastime.

Some friends of my parents have a small yacht named the ‘Six Pack’. They funded the loan repayments by quitting their six pack smoking habit.

Hmmm, I wonder if I should start smoking so I can then get a boat when I quit…

    You haven’t priced a pack of cigarettes in a long time, have you ? Around here they’re over $5 a pack. That’s $30 per day X 365= $10,950/year !

Actually around here they’re closer to $10 a pack. I guess my math needs some work.
