I have to say that what makes me happiest to hear at work is when a nurse or tech asks me if I’m working overnight and if I answer in the affirmative, they reply “YES!” and pump their fist.

Always a good sign… We had one ED doc that, whenever he was on, the ED would be short staffed from all the callouts.
Nurses seem to be happy when I’m on duty too cos I only bother them when I absolutely have to.
