Sometimes heard as an utterance expressing exasperation, it sometimes carries a more literal meaning. Take this chief complaint:
“disturbed man brought in by police for being witnessed defecating in a bucket in his front yard”

Maybe his toilet stopped flushing… ;-)
Anyway: I’d be pretty disturbed too when interrupted when I was answering natures call. I’d just not do it in my front yard.
It’s patients like this that I wonder why they need to be taken to the ER…I mean, so the guy took a dump in a bucket in his yard. So what? I don’t see a medical issue here. Recently we had a guy brought in because he had his pants down at the bus stop. I mean, c’mon y’all…sometimes you just wanna take your pants off!
Same goes for every drunk that gets brought in ever. I hate that EMS is obligated to bring everything in. Good samaritans: stop calling 911 for this shiz!
Did he kick the bucket?
What is this world coming to when you can’t even take care of bodily functions within the confines of your own yard without a hassle?
