As a practising Emergency Medicine doctor, people always ask me for “good ER stories” when they find out what I do.  I usually oblige with some variably graphic tales from my years in the emergency dept - depending on the stomach of the person asking. Now I have decided to post them (with no personal details of course owing to privacy - since after all these are all “ficticious” patients) for all to enjoy! I am board certified in EM and work full time at a suburban northeastern hospital.
