By now, all of you know that the pop singer and twice – accused pedophile, Michael Jackson has died in LA at the age of 50. All we know is that he was found by paramedics “not breathing” and then was in cardiac arrest. He was in a coma for a short while until he expired. My question is, what are your theories as to the underlying cause of death? His medical history was very murky – with numerous suspected and known conditions. Vitiligo we know he had but I remember hearing a year ago that he had alpha-one antitrypsin deficiency with emphysema. Who knows. When we heard the news at work the theories started flying. Here are some:
1. Cocaine OD
2. Narcotic pain killer OD
3. MI
4. “huffing” (not my theory)
5. Crushed by an Elephant at his Never Land Ranch
6. Died having intercourse with an animal – since he could no longer get near children (also not mine since it is pretty harsh)
7. Primary V-tach arrest
8. Terminal plastic surgery
Also, am I the only one that is annoyed that his death is overshadowing the death of Farrah Fawcett??!?!

If it wasn’t for MJ, I wouldn’t even know FF was dead. The only reason I know is a number of people talking about celebrity deaths coming in threes (Ed McMahon(spelling doesn’t look right) being the third).
He died of food poisoning- he ate some 14 year old nuts.
I am also sad that Farrah’s death isn’t getting much notice. She fought a brave battle with true grace and in her dying reached out to help others with her documentary. MJ was extremely talented, but Farrah’s recent contributions far outshadow his.

Besides everybody (except my kids) knew who MJ was, FF has not really done much except Charlies Angels and the crazy David Letterman episode and they were like milliniums ago.

BTW I think she got her time in the specials and 20/20 etc. Ed didn’t get that..most don’t. Now hopefully her son gets his life together and their familes both can get through this hard time.
A friend of a friend was working at UCLA hospital when Michael Jackson died. He said it was cardiac in nature (he was in the cardiac ward, or heart center, or whatever they’re calling it these days) and likely cardiac arrest. They worked on him for something like 42 minutes before pronouncing him dead.
It is such a great loss that a man with great talent like Michael Jackson dies. RIP King of POP
Narcotic OD. I think he popped too many pills and went into respiratory arrest – and was likely brain dead by the time he was found and CPR was initiated.
There’s a photo of him intubated on a stretcher circulating in the media. I think that’s totally unnecessary; nobody needs to see that.
I think he ultimately died of mental illness. He was abused as a child, which led to his spiraling lack of self esteem and self destructive behavior. May he now rest in peace.

I would suspect drug o.d. He was super stressed about these up coming concerts – apparently they kept adding dates that he didn’t want them to and such.
He lived a very sad life – perfect example of how much a parent can screw up a kid.
As for the pedophilia jokes – they are disgusting. He was acquitted – which means not guilty. Sexual abuse of a child is not something to be made fun of or used for jokes.
And yes I agree it’s sad that his death has overtaken FF’s but he was a bigger star plain and simple. FF overshadowed Ed McMahon. That’s how it goes.
Plus FF has been in the news forever now with her cancer fight. I swear evertime she sneezed the media acted like a pack of rabid dogs. I’m sure it would have been easier to be that ill with out the media’s interference.
I’m sad that FFs death was overshadowed, but she went with grace and dignity.

He did have a horrible childhood and I “presonally” think that is why he loved kids so much. From personal experience, I can’t get enough of my children and would love to have 12 more. I feel comforted by them.
At the time he didn’t have his own kids, so he had others.

First, May God take MJ FF ED and all the other people that He called to be with Him and gently Bless them, second, I heard that his own personal Physician was present and had given him a shot of Demerol, which I guess was either too much and that made his body start to shut down and slowly halt his breathing, he had numerous injuries to his back and bones,( broken) and that he was in alot of pain since he just was rehearsing for his concert at Staples Center the day before, some dancers said he showed up 2 hours late and looked lethargic,,, his close friend said he recently hugged him and felt all his bones,,, so that all could be a factor pluss stress, not enough nutrition etc… I think the doc at his home is going to be interviewd,,, as for Farrah Fawcett, she showed more grace,strength, and love even at her last days of living, I will miss you all, and Ed Mcmahon you are finally back again with Johnny carson, may you all rest in peace now! I wouldn’t be surprised if thats what happened. It (likely) is what happened to me last month with dilaudid. Thank goodness I was already in the hospital and somebody came in and found me before it was too late for me too.
If thats the case, he thankfully wouldn’t even know he was dying and didn’t feel any pain.

I think it was to do with prescription drugs. I also think that he was suffering from Anorexia Nervosa, which can throw electolites out of balance. Maybe that had something to do with it?

Michael Jackson is my favorite pop artist ever since i was a child. He is truly the King of Pop and i am saddened by this news.
News flash–”acquited” means they couldn’t prove his pedophilia, not that he didn’t DO it. And having witnessed a junkie/hooker rent out her 8 year old daughter for sex in exchange for drugs, and a different “mother” sell her child for $500, yes I CAN imagine a “parent” taking money to let an abuser go free. Well, we know Jackson had a host of health problems including vilitigo (sp?) as well as lupus in remission and anxiety or other mental health issues & seemed to be on a number of medications, including some potent narcotics. My theory is cardio-respiratory failure secondary to drug interaction with polypharmacology.

The scary thing about this is that his medical care seems to be as much of a circus as the media coverage.
CPR on a bed, lidocaine (but no way to tell the ECG rhythm), Demerol, propofol, intracardiac injections, and probably some alternative medical silliness.
I think he was a pedophile, but I’m not the judge. The Lord God is the judge and he will handle it now. I seem to remember something from the Bible about it being better to tie a stone around your neck and jump into the sea than to harm a little one.
